It's 2021, the year of the Tokyo Olympics, and Japan still hasn't come up with a real food, minimal ingredient Protein bar

Walk into a Konbini or Drugstore in the biggest city on this planet and every Protein bar is packed with artificial, low quality stuff that resembles more like what you'll find on the label of a detergent bottle. So we decided take things into our own hands, literally, and make Protein bars from only a few, all natural, real foods and the protein with the highest bio availability - egg whites.

東京オリンピック開催の2021年ですが、日本はまだ本物の食べ物と言えるような、最小限の原材料を使ったプロテインバーを提案していません。 世界でも大都市の東京でコンビニやドラッグストアに足を踏み入れると、すべてのプロテインバーには、洗剤ボトルのラベルにあるものに似た人工的で低品質のものが満載されています。そこで当社は、実際に自分たちで物事を運ぶことにし、わずか数種のすべて自然で本物の食材と、バイオアベイラビリティ（生物学的利用能）が最も高いタンパク質である卵白からプロテインバーを作ることにしました。

Those are the humble beginnings of EZBAR, somewhere in a 70 sqm apartment in Shinjuku, the heart of Tokyo. Driven by our mission to create a healthy, nutrient dense, protein packed, yet absolutely delicious bar, as a meal replacement or snack for before and after workouts, or really anytime of the day, we work long nights and weekends to make our dream happen.

フードプロセッサー、数種の原材料、Photoshop 『EZBAR』は東京の中心地新宿の70平米のアパートで、慎ましく始まりました。トレーニングの前後や一日中どんな時でも食事の代替品やスナックとして、健康的で栄養価が高く、タンパク質が豊富でありながら確実においしいバーを作るという使命に動かされ、私たちは夢を実現するために終夜や週末に働きました。

 

Transparency and Simplicity 

We've always been obsessed with ingredient labels and what's inside the food we eat. And this means turning over whatever you are looking to buy, finding the ingredient list and trying to figure out what on earth things like "hydrolyzed corn starch" actually means. (hint: it's not good for you!)

Our approach was to create maximum transparency and put our ingredients on the front of our packaging. In big letters, for everyone to see and understand right away. No hidden stuff, no fillers, no artificial sweeteners, no seed and vegetable oils, no weird starches. A few healthy nuts for protein and good fats, dates as binders and for that natural sweetness, egg protein and all natural spices. And that's it.  That's us. That's EZBAR.

透明性とシンプルさ 私たちは常に原材料ラベルと自分たちが食べる食品の中身を気にしています。つまり、自分が購入しようとしているものをひっくり返し、原材料リストを見つけ、「加水分解コーンスターチ」のようなものが実際どんなものかを理解しようとすることです。 （ヒント：体に良いものではありません！） 当社のアプローチは、最大限の透明性を生み出し、パッケージの前面に原材料を記載することでした。大きな文字で、誰もがすぐに見て理解できるようにしました。記載されていないもの、フィラー、人工甘味料、種子油、植物油、謎のスターチ類はありません。プロテインと良質の脂肪分としてヘルシーなナッツ類、つなぎと自然な甘みとしてのデーツ、卵プロテイン、すべて自然なスパイス。それだけです。これが私たちです。これが『EZBAR』なのです。
